Many people don't realize that during
Depot Days, there are many other events occuring besides the motorcar
rides.
There are 5 railroad depots on display, shows, programs, model
railroading exhibits, hobo stew, and other things.
There is something for everyone in all of the 8 communities involved.
If the rails in Green County are removed,
the sprite of railroading is lost, there can be no motorcar rides
(which is the most popular Depot Days event), and you lose the
facilities that allowed the railroad to operate in the first place.
Without all
this, Depot Days cannot exist. It would be a great loss for Green
County.
